CD ROM drive mount 唔到

I install the yello dog unix into the harddisk, but it hangs finally. So power off the machine and try to reboot the machine by Mac OS 9 CD. But it doesnt' work, it can't see the CD.
Fortunately, the machine boot up by using the second harddisk. After boot up, it still can't see the CD when I put the Mac OS 9 into the CD drive.
