請問ibook的記憶體

請問各位先進
小弟想買ibook來使用
但不知記憶體是否能使用PC的
因為ibook的記憶體報價好貴 256MB 16XXX元
之前看了討論區，好像桌上的可以用PC的
不知ibook是否也可以用PC筆記型的記憶體
如不行，我就要考慮一下了

(硬碟也可以用PC規格嗎？)

iBook's RAM should be low-profile PC100 SO-DIMM... you don;t have to buy from Apple.
Hard Disk which is a normal 2.5" ATA HDD, just make sure it's of less or equal to 9.5mm in height.

here's something I copy & paste for u from Apple's developer site:
"The specification defines SO-DIMMs with nominal heights of 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, or 2.0 inches. The iBook can accommodate standard SO-DIMMs with a height of 1.0 or 1.25 inches.
The JEDEC specification defines the maximum depth or thickness of an SO-DIMM as 3.8 mm. That specification is also a maximum: Modules that exceed the specified thickness can cause reliability problems."
FYI, SO-DIMM == Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module, and if memory serve me well all modern Mac uses SDRAM (synchronous dynamic RAM) device in the format of SO-DIMM or DIMM.
