What is CVSTrac?

• Automatically generates a patch-set log from CVS check-in comments
• User-defined color-coded database queries
• Web-based administration of the CVSROOT/passwd file

• Very simple setup - a self-contained executable runs as CGI, from inetd, or as a stand-alone web server

在麥金塔上的安裝方式非常之簡單，簡單到用拖拉放就可以了。

1. 把 dmg 檔解開，會看到兩個檔，一個是 Readme，一個是主程式。
2. 把主程式拖到你想要放的任何地方。
3. 把主程式所在的位置加到 $PATH 裡面。

這樣就算安裝完畢。

第一次使用要建立資料庫：

% cvstrac init ~/path/to/a/folder name-of-database

啟動 CVSTrac：

% cvstrac server 8008 ~/path/to/a/folder &

然後在瀏覽器輸入：

http://localhost:8008/name-of-database/login

帳號跟密碼都是「setup」。

使用 CVSTrac 不需要開 Apache。

這玩意簡單又好用，不到五分鐘就裝好跑起來了。
