EOS 300D initial impressions

Just came back from Canon EOS 300D launch party here in Singapore.
First impression? The camera with EF-S18-55 is very light indeed. I do miss the command wheel of higher end EOS body.
Tested the 300D with its lens kit on the models and cars (Porsches) provided by Canon.... I must say one thing, its AWB is very precise!
Although the lens kit lens has no USM, its AF is not bad at all.
Also tested the camera with a EF17-35 L, now you noticed the speed increase straight away on the AF side.
2 bad points I can think of... its mirror slap is rather loud and hard, and with the absense of mirror lockup, long tele and long exposure might not be as good; and I can't see any function for sensor cleaning mode, how do one clean sensor? Guess one have to resort to manual bulb mode and blowers... ^^
Overally, it's very very good for beginner, good value for money!
As for me, can't wait to see the next pro body from them!
P.S. Sorry, that I didn't bring along my CF there...
