Was at the zoo just now, managed to capture these photos before the late afternoon downpour...
A pair of lovely African Crown Crane
A lone African Crown Crane
Visited the Cheetah, but the guy was enjoying his siesta...
A lady chimp

The staring eye of a crocodile...
And now the sky while waiting for the bus, and before it started to pour hard...
The last of the lights...
Taken with my EOS D60, EF 300mm f/4 L IS, some with EF1.4x II.

I wonder what would happen if you use Faust's smooth skin trick on those chimps...

A lady chimp & another lady
shots are overexposure , may be its too much dark area of the whole frame or it use to got neutral grey for the dark color with the through the lens metering method.
IMHO ,You have to learn some basic of the "ZONE SYSTEM THEORY"
http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=fp-pu ... one+system
Pls don't mind I correct the shot by PS for a try to show you the difference

Thanks John.
If memory served me right, these two older ladies were more grayish in color than blackish... something to do with their age I think... then again memory might be failing on myself.
Anyway I did recheck the histogram on those chimp... yes they are slighly overexposed.
Their original histograms:
Just redid the two ladies, (if the cache are cleared), you should see them better hopefully now.
Thanks again for the link and the effort.
