What do you want to see? it's pretty much the same as Mac OS X English version. The input methods are the same as Mac OS 9, Han-in is not included. and Trad. Chinese input methods has tons of bugs. [img]images/smiles/icon_mad.gif[/img]

Sorry, I have to type in English as my OSX does not support Chinese typing yet.

Does anyone know whether Apple will implement the Chinese support in the next update (10.0.5 ??),
If it will be the case, does it mean current OSX users may wait for the update, and not need to get the Chinese support 10.0.3?

This is quite important to me, since I have compiled a lot of things like X-Win, AfterStep, gimp, F77.... etc., on my OSX, and just don't want to clean install the OSX again.

And I guess the next update will be released after the formal release of Chinese OSX 10.0.3 in Mainland China (on 19/6 ?)

不用擔心啦，不管如何蘋果是不可能在 software update 裡面放這種東西的，因為不是所有的人都需要中文﹑韓文等第二類國家語言的，再加上檔案的體積可能超大，非常不實際。

另外 Software Update 跟 System Installer 不同，在安裝過後不會動到你自己 compile 的檔案，所以也不用擔心。

Since the Japanese support came with the original OSX, I thought the Chinese one might come in the same way.

According to Aachen's arcicle, a clean install (re-format the disk) is necessary to make the Chinese OSX work properly.

On the other hand, you said I don't need to worry about this. Do you mean a separated package for Chinese support, like CLK in OS9, will be released for current users? Will it be free of charge?

我想問一問白老闆，你說的臭蟲是如何的臭呢﹖是令致當機﹖或是不能順利輸入中文，還是其他呢﹖因為我發覺其實在OS 9 的中文輸入法都不錯呢！（或者我對輸入法要求不高，加上我對Mac及PC兩者的中文解碼有不大相同都不會是一個問題）
請賜教
ps 另外我想問一下，現在你是否已經拿到中文的MacOS X呢﹖如果是，是從那一個途徑呢﹖如果不是，又如何得知那臭蟲的存在呢﹖ [img]images/smiles/icon_confused.gif[/img]

昨天台灣蘋果電腦已經正式發表了 Mac OS X 中文版啦，你應該很快就可以在香港地區見到了。

你第一次試用時最好找份 Carbon 版的 SimpleText，然後用繁體中文輸入法打些字，看看你可以寫幾個字。我目前最高記錄是 0.3 秒。 [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img]

What I said was that you don't have to worry about software update will kill your X-Win, AfterStep, gimp, F77.... etc., I didn't say or hint anything about Chinese System or even CLK.
