start with classic

1.下載檔案並解壓縮
2.將檔案夾「 ClassicEnvironment 」放入此目錄中： /Library/StartupItems
3.使用 terminal application 進行下列步驟：
chown -R root:admin /Library/StartupItems/ClassicEnvironment
chmod 755 /Library/StartupItems/ClassicEnvironment/ClassicEnvironment
4.在 /etc/hostconfig 中加入此行：
CLASSIC=-YES-
重新開機，一切搞定！

a couple of questins regarding the about seting

1. what does the file ClassicEnvironment actually does ?

2. with chmod 755 /Library/StartupItems/ClassicEnvironment/ClassicEnvironment
I think you actually means chmod 755 /System/
Library/StartupItems

coz the StartupItems directory is actually located in the /system/Library, not /Library

3.after I restarting my mac, the os9 loading bar was starting to load classic os9.. however after the loading was completed, and i enter the login and password and hit the login button, the error message pop up
" The application classic startup has unexpectendly quit the system and other application have not been affected "

4. can you pls explain why do u chang the ownershipe in the steps 3

結果死的很慘

OS X 居然無法重開機或登出… [img]images/smiles/icon_mad.gif[/img]
會一直無法 Quit 掉 Classic

偶只好趕快改回來…唉～ [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]
