turning on ident on OS X 10.1

Hello,
I changed the following line:
#ident stream tcp wait root /usr/libexec/tcpd identd -w -t120
to:
auth stream tcp wait root /usr/libexec/tcpd identd -w -t120

in order to turn on ident on my machine! but it's still not working!!!! anyone can help me out here???
