How do I input Chinese Character in English Version Mac OS 10.1.2 ?
I have install Office v.X 中文修補程式 1.0 (X), but I still can not input chinese character? Is there any way I can input chinese character? please help me..thanks.......i just get office x, and i need input chinese character....

Well, you need to get a International version of Mac OS X, bascially if you can find a free Mac OS X 10.1 update CD in a Apple dealer near you, in the disc you should be able to find Chinese language package installer.

I AM using an English version of Mac OS X 10.1.2 with Chinese components.

Come to think of it, you should be able to download a "home made" chinese language pack from here:

BTW, all the new machine now ships with Tier 2 Mac OS X... at least with the PB G4 667 since 12/21...^^

hey.Brian..sorry...i tried the software you showed me....but you know what...i still have trouble of typing chinese characters...
i have already install the software,but nothing happened actually...what should I do?

Bought mine here in Singapore...^^ It's a local South Asia set.

From what I know: the 1st batch (non-combo) machine came with only 10.1 Tier 1 (5G64) and 9.2.1Z; but the 2nd batch (with combo) came with 10.1.1 Tier 2 (5M45) and 9.2.2Z.

In case you didn't notice, the original post is from Canada. I don't think Apple ships tier 2 OS X there.

We bought the machine from US, but I live in Canada. Anyway, I can type chinese characters now, but many of fonts are not support from office x...do you guys know why....office x has tons of fonts...but in chinese characters, there are only some fonts are supported.... A video man
