How can I change the login shell?

Hi:
I wanna change the default login shell from tcsh to bash, how can I make change? Which file should I modify?

你需要用 Netinfo Manager 去改：

/Applications/Utilities/Netinfo Manager

找不到地方可以改default login shell.

1. 啟動 Netinfo Manager
2. 找到 / > Users > 張公子
3. 按下右下角的鎖頭去輸入密碼
4. 在視窗下半部找到標有 Shell 的那行
5. 雙響右半標有 /bin/tcsh 的部份
6. 輸入 bash 的路徑
7. Save & Quit
8. Logout & login

再問一個相關的問題.
真正的檔案放在file system的哪裡?
/etc/passwd裡面沒有編過碼的passwd field.
也找不到shadow file... [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]

應該在這裡 /var/db/netinfo/local.nidb/

我認為可以用 chsh 改, 不知道白董意見如何？

Well, Darwin 下面所有的 services 的 preferences 都是靠 Netinfo 提供，所以正本清源之道還是用 netinfo manager (or niutil) 來更改相關設定。

不習慣 niutil 的人可以用 nidump 先 dump 出相對應的 unix style setup files，修改好後再叫 niload 把檔案讀回去。

Yeah, I am wrong, chsh 似乎還沒辦法改. 事實上我的 shell 是用 netinfo 改的, 只是覺得有些麻煩, 想找個方法推廣 console [img]images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]
