With potential problems such as heat, whine (i've encountered both), you want to buy from somewhere that offers hassle-free return/replacement.stupidRoy 寫:mac book 2.oghz with cheap ram upgrad.
I got mine from Amazon. First one acted up the second day. So I sent it back and they overnighted me a replacement, which is still alive and kicking. Then Apple speedbumped the 15" line just 3 weeks after I bought mine. Got pissed again and email'd Amazon. In three days there is a $100 refund in my bank account. Coupled with the $150 MIR, you really can't find a significantly better deal anywhere else.
Not that I'm affiliated with Amazon. It's just that their return policy is pretty lax you have to take advantage of it. Especially when you purchase something like this that puts a big dent in your pocket book.
Or you can take the craigslist route and wait for a good deal to come up.
I'm gonna head down to the apple store soon to test out the black MB. If it's hawt enough I might consider downgrading and put my MBP up for sale

The problem is Apple doesn't offer education price on mac book, and what I've found is Apple Taiwan is actually cheaper then Apple Australia. I might as well just get it over there.
