I have nither used or heard of it before following your link. Well, I think it's alright. Consider that it's M$'s early attempt to a personal info. manager. Back in 1995, many of the ideas could be quite innovative, and some still persist in Windows today.seanlinn 寫:那個時候的微軟真的很蠢。不知道有沒有人用過？
From the impressions I've got in the website, the main problem of Bob was that the living/reading/everything room metaphor is gaudy. Imitating everything in real life doesn't necessary make the computer easier to use. Just like the wrong belief that designing a programming language reading like English encourages the business people to use it -- as a result we had COBOL...
Glad to see a webpage collecting so many screen shots of early OSs. The development of GUI has been so fast that we sometimes fail to appreciate how advanced those early GUIs once were.
Hey, doesn't the last Baqua appearence of BeOS look like Aqua? Anyone tell me why?
