I have problem using the SONY SDM-S81 with my G4 400!
The problem is when i use the Sony lcd with my G4 under 1024x768@60Hz, everything is ok, but when i switch to 1280x1024@60Hz, then the lcd has flicker whenever i try to change the phase and pitch. However, the Sony lcd use with my window xp is no problem at all even using 1280x1024@60Hz.
So,please help me! Where is the problem? is the mac or LCD?

As I know ... most of the monitors have higher maximum resolution for PC than for Mac ... [img]images/smiles/icon_sad.gif[/img]

This statement is not true. Monitors are designed to have the same set of resolution settings no matter what platform they connect to. It's the video chip/card that runs on the machine to determine the maximum resolution.
For LCD monitors, they have a native resolution, which is the only good setting that will show you the best quality. Not sure what Sony SDM-S81's native resolution is, but switch to that and change the frequency to the maximum which your video card supports.
