各位先進:
弟有許多舊卡帶,早絕版了。想把它給錄到電腦上,再轉成 AIFF,燒到 CD 上,請問這中間過程與須配備相關軟體是什麼?又,須注意哪些事項?
請各位先進多多指點!

I just did this last weekend. I have an old Mac, which has a plaintalk mic input. This mic input actually is line-in level input, while the power connector for plaintalk mic is only accessible by a long version of 3.5mm plug. So, a normal 3.5mm plug will not touch it and get fried.
Buy a 3.5mm (like those on the walkman headphone plugs) to two-RCA cable in your favorite electrnoic shop.
Have a cassette deck/player with line-out connectors (RCA type)
Download this excellent freeware Coaster (for direct record to disk) at http://www.visualclick.de/coaster.html. The version I used is old (v1.06) but works great. It has the feature to detect the silent between songs (calibrated to match your cassette player's background noise), so that you don't need to baby-sitting your computer to "clip" your recording into separate songs. It automatically number the files into xxxx 1, xxxx 2,... so that you can drag these AIFF files into Toast for CD burning.
The following screen shot is taken from the web page mentioned above.
Strongly recommend it!
