After more than two years in the making, we are pleased to announce the immediate availability of DarwinPorts 1.0 in both tar.bz2 and tar.gz formats. Checksums are available here.

As well as being the first numbered version of the popular ports system for Mac OS X and other platforms, 1.0 is expected to bring many changes and new features for users of the current CVS release. It is highly recommended that all DarwinPorts users move to this version, paying close attention to the steps detailed in the README.

We would like to thank the countless contributors, past and present, without whom this milestone could not have been accomplished.

下載後解開，執行：

代碼: 選擇全部

% ./configure; make; sudo make install

大約三十秒（:badgrin:）就可以完成安裝。安裝完畢之後，即可使用。


如欲取得最新的 portfiles 資訊：

% sudo port sync

如欲更新 DarwinPorts 版本：

man@users.sourceforge.net>.

In Mac OS X 10.4, dlopen was rewritten to be a native part of dyld.
