quicktime 5 input/output error

hello everyone....

i just up grade my OS to 10.1 .. i noticed that when i try to use quicktime to watch vcd it gave me a "input/output error" can anyone tell the what is the error? and how do i fix it!

Mac os x doesn't support vcd.
