微軟策略研究總監 Craig Mundie 日前發表對蘋果 Siri 的看法。他認為：「People are infatuated with Apple announcing it. It’s good marketing, but at least as the technological capability you could argue that Microsoft has had a similar capability in Windows Phones for more than a year, since Windows Phone 7 was introduced.」也就是說人們因為蘋果的行銷功力而著迷於 Siri ，但事實上微軟 Windows Phone 在一年前的 Windows Phone 7 就有類似的功能了。
這樣的言論讓人想起了先前微軟執行長 Steve Ballmer 一邊狂笑 iPhone 一邊受訪的經典內容，他說 iPhone 是世上最昂貴的電話，但連實體鍵盤都沒有！根本沒有任何商業人士願意使用 iPhone 。影片如下所示：
還有那個 Google 移動副總裁 Andy Rubin 認為人們根本不需要 Siri ，因為「Your phone is a tool for communicating. You shouldn’t be communicating with the phone; you should be communicating with somebody on the other side of the phone.」意思是跟電話講話很奇怪，電話是用來與人通話，而不是跟電話講話。
拿 Siri 跟其他類似「會聽話，能回答」的語音辨識與回應技術相比，就顯得不知道 Siri 的深度。以前 Android 與類似的電腦技術，都只能做到語音辨識，而無法做到真正的語意辨識。而所謂在一年前就有 Siri 功能的 Windows Phone ，目前的市佔率仍在 2% 以下。
