Cult of Mac 以專文的方式報導了 Mac OS X 10.6 雪豹系統中可以放大到 512 x 512 的大型圖像（icon）之美。 Icon 現在可以變得這麼大，一方面展現蘋果本身對美學堅持的素養，另一方面也展現 Mac OS X 在圖形顯示最佳化的成果；也有人說這正是蘋果會推出平板觸控電腦的一種準備工作。無論如何，相信大多數的朋友看到這些細緻的 icon 都會覺得很喜歡吧？其中還有不少奧妙喔：
System Preferences 與 Automator ：那金屬髮絲處理與機器人身上的晶瑩反光真是讓人愛不釋手！
Hard Drive Icon 與 Disk Utility ：仔細瞧瞧硬碟上的標籤，中間其實寫有使用硬碟的警語文字：「Internal Hard Disk. Handle the hard drive carefully to avoid damaging the circuit board. Make sure you are properly grounded.」
Dictionary 與 TextEdit ： Dictionary 的 icon 所呈現的皮質質感真是一流，而且上面的拉丁文「Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit Amet Etiam」是西方設計師時常用來實行版面測試，主要在觀察不同字型、版型下整體呈現的視覺效果。這段文字通常稱為「Lorem ipsum」，或簡稱為「Lipsum」。
至於 TextEdit 的 icon 上有段文字「Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things.」是蘋果知名的 Think Different 廣告中的旁白，而且該文字尚未完全列出，後面還有這一段：
「They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.」
Keynote ：講台上放的文件是百老匯音樂劇「Spring Awakening」中《The Bitch of Living》的歌詞。
「Spring Awakening」於 2006 年十二月首演，並且獲得了 2007 年知名的東尼獎 Tony Award 的最佳音樂劇、最佳導演、最佳作曲、最佳作詞等大獎與 2007 年紐約劇評獎最佳音樂劇。此劇非常適合年輕人的風格與口味，並呈現當代青少年壓抑已久的心情。戲碼與歌詞如下所示：

Windows PC 與 Jar Launcher ：這兩個 icon 呈現出貨真價實的「致命藍幕」與 Java 程式碼，算是圖符其實。
Address Book 與 Safari ：一樣是值得品味細節中的細節的兩個 icon 。
Audo MIDI Setup 與 Time Machine ：無論是電子琴上沒亮起來的 LED 與琴鍵的象牙白，或者是在科幻電影中常見的時光隧道效果，都說明了這兩個 icon 的細緻美。
iTunes 、 Aperture 與 Mail ：這三個 icon 上都標有蘋果相關的字樣，例如 Aperture 的鏡頭外環文字是「Designed by Apple in California」； Mail 的郵戳則是標出了蘋果總部所在地「Hello from Cupertino, CA.」；至於 iTunes 的 CD 內環則有雷射蝕刻「iTunes 7」與「Apple 2006」。
